Boaters need help-please forward to all you can

Environmental is probably a smoke screen.

These things frequently start because one or more people are being
bothered in some way by the activity in question. Start out by trying
to understand the root cause of the opposition. If it's noise, clean
up your act and get decent exhaust systems on the ski boats. Noise is
unacceptable in my opinion and it's about time that the jet ski, motor
cycle and go fast crowd wake up and smell the roses. What about
alternative use conflicts? Are there people who use the pond for
canoeing, kayacking or small boat fishing? If so, you've got a
problem and need to have some neighborly discussions about a time
allocation plan. If all else fails, solve it in the great American
way by hiring a lawyer and suing the opposition. There's nothing like
a few legal expenses to get people's attention.
