Really? That's odd, since she was washed down over the weekend, from top
to bottom, after a nice day on the water. Actually, I find only a bit of
dust on the boat from week to week, much less than I expected, and about
the same accumulation of seagull poop as the other place.

Where'd you buy your chum, up in Deale?

You like spot? They're biting around Broome Island.

Chum came from Annapolis. Can't tell you more than that. Alewives also, fresh
ones.

You do know about the guy in Deale that grinds up chum and sells other
baits...across the street from the Happy Harbor...he's a pretty cool guy.

Yup, nice guy. But his alewives are frozen, not fresh. It's hard to find fresh
alewive. I happened to be fishing with a guy from Annapolis, so he brought them
down. One of the guys in BP runs up to this guy in Annapolis to buy his chum and
alewives.

They're only frozen because he freezes them. If you get there when he's
just got some in, you can get a bag of unfrozen ones right from the
basket. Also...as you know his mainline business is selling crabs. Ask
him to sell you some dead ones...he can't sell them for human
consumption, but he can for bait...if he's not too busy, he'll check his
tanks and pull you out a couple...

I prefer spot to alewives for bait. The fish seem to, too.
