I assume nothing. All I know is that I've known people who for years that while they were working, have complained about the government taking money from them to pay out to "the needy". Now that they are on the receiving end of S.S. or other government benefits, they tend to loose their righteous indignation toward the role of public assistance. Considering the nature of human behavior it's not hard to understand how people change their viewpoints when the shoe is on the other foot. Dave |
