I have a dent in my prop, and posted to newgroup but post was deleted.
anyway I currently have an aluminum prop and am interested in one of the composite (plastic) props for my 90 horse mercury. Has anybody used a composite prop yet or have any advise if I should get one ? |

Why?
Do you keep tearing up the aluminum. If so - on what. The comp prop will work but will not have the performance of your aluminum which is even less than the SS prop. If your needing more hole shot/acceleration or more top end go w/ the SS. If your hitting little trash and or sand/mud bottom go w/ SS as it will not tear up (and it won't tear up the lower unit as some poeple will say as it has a rubber or plastic hub that will give way long before the SS gears and prop shaft). If you hitting rocks and stumps - stop as your going to tear up more than the prop one of these times. -- Tony my boats at http://t.thomas.home.mchsi.com "Gregory McGuire" wrote in message ...
