"NOYB" wrote in message news:XNWdna6_xo9u8XbdRVn- Hehehe. An ambulance-chasing bloodsucker who made millions suing docs I think Edwards was the best choice, from the Rep pov. We now have a pair of East Coast lawyers running -- one a New England liberal (remember how well Dukakis did?) and the other a smooth-talkin' southern ambulance chaser. Edwards will be polarizing to a degree - for good or ill, the country still remembers the last young, syrupy, southern lawyer that talked his way into the WH. Edwards on the stump will make Kerry look like even more of a stick than he actually is. Additionally, (and this will be the most fun to observe), a Kerry/Edwards win in '04 could arguably set up the Democrat candidacy stream through 2016, meaning that Hillary would be into her 70s before her next shot in 2020. You can bet your farm that the Clintons will be carefully and quietly working to sabotage the Kerry campaign. |

Both President Bill and Senator Hillary will be doing everything they can to help elect Kerry and Edwards. Bill already has helped raise millions for Kerry. |

Yes, their altruistic nature has shone like a beacon of hope for all to see throughout their political life. Bill already has helped raise millions for Kerry. C'mon, Harry, you ought to be more sophisticated than that. Money, in the end, is just a tool, an enabler. If Bill and Hill want to undercut him through subtle word or deed, millions raised in public will mean nothing. |

Bill and Hillary will do everything they can to help elect Kerry and Edwards. Indeed, money is an enabler. It was money, after all, that put Bush in the White House. Virtually all Democrats are united behind the Kerry-Edwards ticket, and will do everything they can to make sure they are elected. That includes the Clintons. The only Democrat I know who is voting for Bush is the idiot known as California Bill, and his only claim to being a Democrat is that he says he is one. If the Clintons tried to undercut Kerry, the word would get out fast. Personally, I'd welcome Hillary Clinton as POTUS, if and when she decides to run. She scares the crap out of Republicans and, on that basis alone, is worthy of election. I see where President Doofus is flying to North Carolina, purportedly to prop up a judicial nominee. Right. |

So was Bill Clinton. His wife, OTH, is a socialist. She's the only reason he didn't lean more to the right. I'm pretty apathetic in my opinion of Bill. I *detest* Hillary. As much as I like to bag on Bill, he was pretty willing to sign many conservative bills that came through the Republican-controlled House and Senate...and he didn't try to force severe tax and spending policies on Congress, thus keeping the GDP growth up and the deficit down. Hillary would have been a pure obstructionist if she were given more power. Thankfully, she got slammed into her place early in Bill's first term when she tried to create socialized medicine. |
