Well, not to quibble, but it wasn't exactly in public. It was during a non-public photo shoot, with the Senate not in session, and my understanding is that the exchange only became known through leakage. In public, for the record, such an exchange would, of course, not be considered "Vice-Presidential." Oh, OK, so it was NOT public and therefore OK... only in a public building, with lots of public officials, and photographers... maybe a few aides, maybe a few friends & family, probably one or two reporters... but of course the Vice-President's papers are all ultra-secret (especially those having to do with industry & lobbyists influence on public policy) so it makes sense to keep his spoken words under wraps too. It's just a darn shame this got "leaked." The country would be better off if it were easier for the gov't to keep anything secret, wouldn't it? In your humble opinion, Cheney's loss of self-control and his potty My opinions are rarely humble, Richard Cheney never (I suspect) suffers loss of self-control Oh no, of course not.
