My 1972 inline 6 mercruiser (200 HP) died and is making a clangaty
bangaty noise. It still runs but makes a lot of racket. No connecting rod sticking out of the block and no oil in bilge just a lot of metal noises coming from the block. Before she blew the dry compression was good although wet compression showed low in one cylinder . Oil pressure was good too. Any ideas? Worth fixing ? A new V6 costs 20K installed! Thanks, Tom Clark |
