Last night I was called by a pollster. He asked, "If the election were held
today, would you vote for Bush or Kerry?" I almost said, "Bush." But then I thought, "Why tell them how I would vote. For what will the information be used?" If Bush is leading in the polls, Kerry tells more lies to swing things his way. If Kerry is leading in the polls, then Bush will have to work a little harder to get things his way, and maybe Kerry will relax a little. When the polls show Kerry ahead, all the liberals here are rejoicing, spreading the news, laying back drinking a Bud, celebrating the good life. But when the polls show Bush in the lead, the snarling, wailing, gnashing of teeth, and general displeasure show up in the liberals comments in the group. Dean showed his true colors when things looked good for him. Kerry tends to do the same. So...I said I'd vote for Kerry. I wonder how many others are doing the same thing.
