![]() "Charlie Brown" wrote in message ... This may be a dumb question, but when I buy my boat, I'm planning on storing in an open lot. Obviously, I'm concerned about theft. It would seem to me that removing an outboard motor is probably not too hard to do. Is there some kind of locking mechanism that helps prevent theft? Lowes or Home Depot has everything you need.....15 feet of heavy duty galvanized chain secured through the outboard frame mount and weaved through the wheel of the trailer.....then locked with a heavy duty padlock. This secures the outboard, boat and trailer. Not theft proof but theft resistant. ;-) |
