Mariner 60hp BIGFOOT on 18ft. Pontoon boat
need some recommendations & suggestions for replacement prop on this motor ?
would like to read your thoughts on this motor either pro or con !! thank you casca at core.com |

I have a 60 BF on a 20' and I am running a 14x11 stainless. That seems about
right. 5700-5900 WOT. I also have a 13 7/8 x 15 and that was too much. Topped out at about 4800-5000. |

thanks that's what I am looking for , but forgive my ignorance explain the

The short answer is Mercury says buy a 14 diameter by 11 pitch. They are right.
Their prop has a softer hub. If you don't use it you will hear gear rattle at low RPMs (basically running pure idle speed in gear) My 75 2 stroke with the same foot made the same noise. It was just that the coughing and belching smoke disguised it :-) These are great motors on a toon |
