Default Giving myself a shower

I like a high angle paddle style when paddling my kayak on flat water,
probably because of my 30 years of canoeing. I recently switched from a
heavy and nearly symettrical AquaBound paddle to a much lighter and more
asymmetric Big Spoons paddle. It's a great paddle and gives me a lot more
power, but also every stroke showers me with water. Very refreshing on
warm hot days, but as the year draws to a close, I'm thinking maybe I
won't want that shower when the water is cold.
