Default trolling motor too big???

Hi All,

Here's the question, I've got a 16ft boat with about a 5ft wide back end.
On it I've got a 65hp motor, and the separate mount for a trolling motor.

I have a 9.9hp motor which I was considering using as the trolling motor,
but lately I'm thinking that it may be a touch too large size wise, and
weight wise.

What do you guys think?

As it stands if I walk from side to side in the boat the boat does move and
lean to the heavier weighted side. Mounting the 9.9 on the right side would
mean an extra 70 pounds of fulltime weight there which I suppose I can
offset a bit by putting the gas can for it towards the left side.

????????????/ anyone had this issue before?
