![]() "P. Fritz" wrote in message ... We were planning to stay pretty much in the bay, but Thursday's lake condition report called for calm waters with low wind and 1-2' waves, so we cruised out to the Bass Islands. What a blast Put-In-Bay was on South Bass. Plus, I always like to get out in some real open water, even tho the bay is 100 square miles. How busy was PIB? I was down there for the 7/4 weekend and could not beleive how slow it was......a bit of carry over fro the water problem the previsous year.......I had hoped to get down there for the long weekend, but with gas prices and out of town guest, could not do it. PIB was dead slow. Just a handful of people in each bar/restaurant. No lines or waiting at any of the attractions. I saw the jet express dock a couple times, with only about 15-20 people per load. And that day had perfect weather too. Sunny, with a high of 80. I'm not complaining tho...in my "older age", and University job, I don't mind seeing less partying youngsters. ![]() They were also gearing up for the weekend. Labor day is one of their busiest weekends of the year. Take care. -- -Netsock "It's just about going fast...that's all..." http://home.columbus.rr.com/ckg/ |
