"Bryan" wrote in message .. . Do I want a rearview mirror for my boat? It seems like a good idea to see the folks I'm towing while I'm watching traffic in front, but I don't see any boats with rearview mirrors. What's the scoop on this? Thanks Bryan Sea Ray 185 I don't know of any tow (ski) boats, that don't come with a mirror, but you're right...I don't see them on anything else. Here in Ohio, its not required, as the law dictates have a "third" spotter. With a spotter, the driver should be driving...not looking at the skier. However, in other states (like KY) a spotter is not required when pulling a skier, however, a rear view mirror is. Mounting a mirror can be tricky too. They are larger than auto mirrors, and since the bow angle changes on a boat, there is a visibility issue, so keep that in mind. Good luck. -- -Netsock "It's just about going fast...that's all..." http://home.columbus.rr.com/ckg/ |
