What did they spend, a whole couple of days looking? I'd imagine that Shaffer and Phillpott have some pretty damning evidence tucked away, or they wouldn't have come forward. In fact, Shaffer told Donny Deutsch on The Big Idea last night that more and more documents will be coming forth over the next several weeks. The Pentagon jumped the gun on their statement...which is precisely why Sen. Weldon sent them this email soon after DiRita spoke: "Three people associated with Able Danger have gone on the record to certify that it was a program tasked with mapping Al-Qaeda worldwide - its work included the linkages which identified Mohammad Atta. That finding should not be taken lightly, and neither should the credibility of the three people who have bravely gone on the record. It is important that the American people get the full story of Able Danger. A search for the relevant data and products from this program needs to be conducted, and if nothing can be found, we need to find out what happened to this information. The Pentagon should continue interviewing people with knowledge of the Able Danger program, and encourage those with information to come forward without fear of reprisal. I strongly caution the Pentagon against issuing any further statements without a full accounting of the facts. Failure to do so would reflect poorly upon the investigation and might give the unfortunate impression that its results are predetermined." |

What I am about to say is not related to any trips I personally have made into Cuba in a kinda-sort-of clandestine fashion on sportfishing trips. I repeat I have never, ever, bribed, paid a fee or exchanged products to any Cuban coast patrol for clandestine entry into Cuba for any reason - including sportfishing. Got it? However, according to somebody who I know VERY well, it's a pretty sad situation in Cuba. The only reason the government still exists is because it's basically a police state being propped up by sympathetic governments who want access to cheap sugar and cigars. The fishing though is spectacular. :) Later, Tom Email decoder: Remove onetwothree, replace with info, Remove four, replace with swsports, Remove com, replace with org. |

It is, however, very expensive for an airplane ticket out of Cuba for a lot of the people. There are some Cubans that do travel, for vacations, to Costa Rica, Peru, Spain and even to Canada. A lot of these travelers have had some money sent to them by their friends or family. My brother met a Cuban university professor who has travelled to Canada for a vacation. His flight was paid for by a university here in Canada. Also there are many of the sales managers, for the Cuban resorts, come to Canada to give sales pitches to Travel Agents in this country. Harry,
Wrong the first time. I'm not upset at all. I'm simply not disposed to do anything to further the aims of countries led by crackpots unfriendly to my country. I love my country far to much to provide income to those blatently unfriendly to it. I mean give me a break.. Chavez says DEA agents in Venezuela are spies.
