Out drive "showers" are quite common on high performance boats. A lot of
heat is generated in the upper gearcase, where the two pinion shafts are
mated, and this part is virtually never in the water. Tests have shown

Yes, we all know there are several Bayliners out there running with huge
engines and racing outdrives that need special cooling.

When you said "Alpha 3.0", I thought you meant "Alpha III"...not the engine
size. No harm, no foul...
