Did it need it: Nope, I just did it to prove a point. now IF I could
just figure out what the point was "Harry Krause" wrote in message ... Netsock wrote: wrote in message oups.com... Too much alchohol mixed into that mix. Why the hell does the outdrive need cooling? Its already in the water isnt it? Out drive "showers" are quite common on high performance boats. A lot of heat is generated in the upper gearcase, where the two pinion shafts are mated, and this part is virtually never in the water. Tests have shown these showers to scientifically increase longevity on the upper gear set. Now does this guys Bayliner need one? Don't know...he didn't say what engine he had. Yes, we all know there are several Bayliners out there running with huge engines and racing outdrives that need special cooling. |

No harm, no foul... BTW, ignore our village idiot below...that boatless twit wouldnt know an outdrive from an outboard. Take care. -- -Netsock "It's just about going fast...that's all..." http://home.columbus.rr.com/ckg/ "Harry Krause" wrote in message Yes, we all know there are several Bayliners out there running with huge engines and racing outdrives that need special cooling. |
