Been away myself quite a bit lately, and leaving again for a while in
about a week. I must say the NG probably hasn't been the same without
our bitchy little squabbles back and forth- maybe with some luck we'll
manage to avoid spearing one another for a while and a small portion of
the overall problem will diminish.

As you seem to have wisely observed- none of us can do anything about
the "group" but each of us can do something about our own behavior.

Did I see you're looking for another boat? Good luck with that. :-)

Where did you come back from where are you heading for next vacation?


Back from Comox, up on Vancouver Island, where our boat sits patiently
at the dock waiting for us to return toward the end of the month and
bring her home.

One of the downsides of my business is that it is very difficult to
take two weeks off in a row and still produce an entire product on a
four-week schedule.
Split vacations aren't that unusual.


Putting 2 to 3 weeks of vacation time together is very nice, especially 3
straight weeks.....by the 3rd week you never want to go back to work.

Did you have good weather your first week Chuck? Ours was absolutely
fantastic.

Exceptional weather.

We anticipate running into fog almost every day on our leg back
south...
That's the difference between late July and late August up this way. I
only used the radar when crossing shipping lanes on the way up (can
make the boat easier for the container ships and tankers to spot on
their own radar sometimes), but it will likely get a good workout on
the way back.
