: The alloy fuel shutting valve, operated from the outboard front through a small shaft is placed under the engine incorporated fuel deposit and has completely fractured. Until I get proper Yamaha assistence is there any hint for a "serious" provisional repair? "Alloy".....Isn't that more like "Pot Metal"? That's what it looks like. Look inside the spark plug cap, sometime. Instead of a snap-on spark plug cap, cheapass Yamaha uses a little coiled up spring wire shoved through the spark plug wire end. If your Yamaha starts skipping, pull the cap off and pull this piece of crap back out into place inside the rubber boot. Been there, done that. Yamaha suckS! -- Larry |
