One of the best marine engines one can buy.
A simplified test for a used one given to me by the local Yanmar dealer is: "does it start right away and pump only water from the exhaust port? Then it's probably a great engine. It's hard to wear them out and the common fear of one with over 120k hours is simple naïveté." Good luck. "Peter R" wrote in message .. . A friend is about to buy a small boat with a yanmar engine (diesel). She wants to know if it's a good engine. However, I don;t have any experiences with this make. Kindly gives me yours in response to this. Peter |
