Was about to blame the service department at the marina.
My 25hp Nissan was running fine two months ago, but needed a new tiller handle assembly. Everytime I called about it, the repair shop give me the story that Tohatsu/Nissan couldn't ship the part. Finally decided to call Tohatsu USA directly. Got the parts department and talked to a guy who said, "Yeh, we get calls from dealers, repair shops and customers like you all the time. We order parts from the factory (in Japan) and they send them when they feel like it." Well, I've lost use of the motor for two months. Great little motor but lousy headquarters supplier. |
