Default Coast Guard *Does Not* Sucker Punch Drunk

Better than sit-com: Just got a call from a friend who took his brother in
law out fishing last night. He didn't realize his BIL was making friends
with a flask of bourbon the 3 times he went into the cabin to take a leak,
grab snacks, etc. Boat had motor trouble, called CG. CG arrives from another
incident 5 minutes away, begins helping. BIL stands on deck near anchor to
stay out of the way of two CG guys who were looking at the motor. BIL falls
off boat in a way that my friend said would impress a professional stunt
man. Friend & CG guy haul him out of the water. He had a vest on, so he was
fine. CG guy smiles and says "Quite a jump!". BIL thinks he's being made fun
of, takes drunken swing at CG guy, misses by a foot. CG cuffs him, take him
to station, imprisons him for the rest of the evening. Boat was towed to the
marina 3 minutes from CG station. My friend just got back from picking up
his BIL, who was getting a lecture from the CO. No formal charges pressed.
Friend also had bad night, explaining to his wife why he "let" her brother
get into this mess. He also did not sleep in a bed. :-( No fish, either.

Further information suggests this brother in law is like the guy in the
movie "A River Runs Through It", who agrees to go fishing with the lead
character, but ends up drunk and sunburnt instead. Good movie.
