So far, I've cleaned up the kitchen, cleaned out and washed the fridge, washed the kitchen floor, emptied all the litter boxes, cleaned them, and vacuumed the dining room and hallways. Now I'm about to clean up my office from the week's paper shoveling. In between, I'm moving around sprinklers to get the beds on the edge of our woods, because everything needs a cool drink. Now, aren't you glad you asked? I hate housework, by the way. I got up early this am and was out at my nephew's building lot before 8. His dad and a good crew of his co-workers were already busy as bees. I was assigned the task of measuring the framing for his 8 basement windows. I cut the jack studs and the 2x10 headers and nailed all in place. Next I was marking and cutting the 4' x 8' sheets for his subfloor. By the time 1800 hrs arrived I was ready to slip away and let the 'young guys' continue. Good old Nova Scotia weather..it rained on us all morning but I ended up with a sunburn in the afternoon. |
