Myth Busters
Just caught part of the Discovery Channel's "Myth Busters". They took an
older 13' Boston Whaler and measured it's top speed at 23 mph via GPS with (looked like) about a 25 or 40 horse Merc. Then, they strapped the boat securely to the trailer and launched the boat with trailer attached. It actually floated fine with three people aboard and they got it up to 4.8 mph at wot. Proved the myth that it could actually happen. Eisboch |

Everybody knows it was a blonde, in a Bayliner, who pulled up alongside a fuel dock to ask the mechanic why her boat was so slow. |
