I have an aluminum boat. I want to purchase a fish/depth finder for it. I am
cautious about drilling holes in my perfect aluminum hull. Is there another
way to mount it? Epoxy perhaps? Silicone? What have others done?

If you do try the PVC idea, just remember that nothing sticks real well
to smooth shiney PVC. Rough up the side you want to apply the glue to.
100 grit sandpaper, or even run a drill/grindstone over it. The glue will
adhere to little scratches/grooves/fibers much better than the slick
almost greasy feel of a virgin PVC surface.

So it sounds like a dollar store cutting board to me... I'll have to check
it out...

It does seem to be identical to cutting boards, doesn't it? :-) Slap on a
fancy name, call it a boat product, and now it's two bazillion bucks a
sheet.
