A hypocrite of the highest order. Go have your dockside political conversations in rec.boats.cruising. See how long you last. I don't see you having dockside conversations about politics there. Why? Because they would boot your sorry ass out. I simply don't understand your position. Initially, I made the conscious decision not to filter people, but to filter "off topic" content, as far as I could. If Harry chooses to post off topic I won't see it... just as if *you* post off topic... if my filters are working properly, I won't see that either. Enter the "smithers" characters... and, frankly, this didn't start with smithers, I realized that there was a new breed of netizen that came to rec.boats only to cause trouble. Philosophically, I had a problem with this.... this meant that in order to filter this sort of person, I had to filter on a "name." The vandals soon caught on to this, so I began to filter on the basis of news-server.... and, frankly, this evolving filter technology has served me quite well. 99% of what I see is boating related... Early on, Netsock was publicly posting his "liberal" hit list aka as a killfile. Far from hypocritical, I don't choose sides, but filter *all* political posts.... included in my "hot list" are many political terms... whether you post "democrats suck" or republicans suck," I won't see your post. In fact... having said either democrat or republican... I won't even see my own post.... and if you wish me to see any response to same, you'll have to edit out all "political" content. Glad you answered me, now the whole world knows what a hypocrite you are. See far deeper than I do, O wise one.... In response to your response to Larry, you are indeed a hypocrite. I have no respect for you and you can be the first to enter my killfiles because of your double standards. At least Harry is a man about his position. You come swooping in with dual standards. The Grand Pubba Almighty Kerns. Don't expect me to bow. Maybe spit up some bowel. If you are going to post ill of me... at least spell my name right...... and just so I'll understand, could you repost what I said that was hypocritical? Oh... nevermind. I see I'm in your killfile.... No, I told said I wasn't going to killfile you. In fact, I want to see every hypocrisy you post. It is just fine and dandy by you for Krause to pollute this newsgroup like a trashy old boys club. Just filter everyone you don't like, or complains about the off topic posting, and go about your business of posting scum. Screw anybody new to the group, you guys own it, right? WRONG!!!!!!!!! You have presented no defensible facts. You did not condemn Krause for starting this. Think about yourself. What moral grounds do you have to speak on your podium from? NOT ONE!!!!! None of your replies have included a condemnation of Krause. WHY!!!! Krause posted OT: Uncle Sam Needs the Rec.Boats Righties... Larry posted OT: rec.boats needs less left winged idjits Tit for tat, except Krause is OK and Larry is not? Remember, Krause started it. Oh, you conveniently forgot that eh? You chose to jump in. You made the decision to criticize one and not the other. Ergo, you are an off topic posting liberal abetting hypocrite. You made your own name a hypocritical pile of dog dirt. Two faced prick. You're full of it. No high horses or statues for you!!!!! Thomas Rangier Krause's post was prefaced with 'OT'. Larry's post was not John H Binary thinking get it wrong when you don't check the facts. The original post by Larry was prefaced OT. Look back and see for yourself. No excuses there. Thomas Rangier PS. You might, in the future, quote all of a response, instead of only a portion. -- John H "All decisions are the result of binary thinking." |
