Yeah, thanks. I only have to trailer the boat about 100 yards from its
parking spot to the ramp. But I'm still looking for a nice used truck.

I found myself in a similar situation last year, and after a bit of
cogitation discovered I could climb down over the bow, onto the
trailer winch, and then step down onto the tongue. Not ideal but it
worked. Another short handed trick is to back the trailer a little
less further into the water. When you power onto the trailer coming
straight in, the boat will stick there on the bunks instead of sliding
around.

Yeah, well, I am barely able to walk and chew gum at the same time with
any grace...
