Default Come on summer!

Hi Cuz

Thought I would give you an update since the visit from Dale, Gail and
Clarence. I think my dad and mom are still on cloud nine from their visit,
it meant so much to the both especially my dad as he doesn't travel and my
mom can't anymore. It's hell seeing them grow old but they do have very good
moments and they are both on a high cycle right now tearing up the local
indian casino/bingo halls. Now they have a system as one friend of my dads
shared it with him, they are convinced that going on Mondays increases their
odds thinking that the machines are well fed on the weekends. I don't
discouarge them for if they win they might thing of their very supportive
youngest son that is currently in the number one ranking if you talk to my
brother Maynard. We play off of the old Summers Brothers routine "Mom always
liked you best!" and it all came to a head when Maynard saw that I was
number one on their speed dial!

I've had a new passion lately as I picked up a new to me but used boat motor
to replace my 73 Mercury 85hp. A friend picked up an old Boston Whaler that
had a 1986 100 hp Johnson on it but he wanted to put his newer motor in it's
place. Well after doing the normal maintenance of replacing the water pump,
thermostats and rebuilding the carbs I installed a Holley electric fuel pump
taking out the VRO oil injection unit and mixing my own gas and oil. The
motor seemed to run fine in the driveway but balked out on the water.
Pouring over the manual I've learned way more than I wanted to know about
this motor and after replacing the "powerpacks" it's running fantastic the
extra ponies are a lot of fun on a 15' 5" tri-hull. I took the boys our for
a shake down run on the bay and it worked great trolling and at high speed.

A kid that I used to kneeboard and wakeboard with comes over from Colorado
from time to time to visit his buddies here and has been bugging me to go
out on the bay and into the ocean with my PWC. The water up here is a balmy
55 degrees so I wasn't too keen on the idea but every time this guy comes
into town he's calling me up to go out with their group. It all came
together this weekend as Dendy had to work yesterday. I rented a 6.5mm suit
and went out with them jumping waves in the surf it was a ball! I'm a little
sore this morning typing isn't very easy as I was holding on to my ski for
dear life yesterday. In all I had a blast taking them out as just riding
them around on the lake is rather boring to me but jumping those waves adds
so much more excitement to them. I missed on my throttle timing and took a
couple waves in the face but didn't get knocked off it's amazing the air you
can get with just a six foot wave. I have a Polaris SLTH three seater that
weighs over 600 pounds and then with my fat ass it's way more than that and
I had the thing out of the water and at least six feet or more in the air! I
didn't stay out for long as my ski is set up for the mountain lakes and was
starting to balk here at sea level and I was getting pooped out too.

Now I need to get out and start wiring a my friends boat (the Boston Whaler)
this will be the third boat I've wired for him one of these days I'll do as
nice of a job on my boat!

What's going on with you Cuz? Say "hola" to Norma for us.

Love
Mick and Dendy
