My wife and I and another couple spent a week up there a couple years ago in a friends lake house. There's a few shallow coves with some stumps to avoid, but plenty of room otherwise. We're on Lake Murray just 1.5 hours south of that. Our water has been almost 15 feet down for over a year while they're working on the dam (building a backup dam for the existing earthen dam), but the water will start rising this June. No problem really, with 60,000 acres to work with there's still plenty of lake to use. You should come down and check it out sometimes. Jack Just don't play with the "toys" around Doolittle island if they are visiable. I was living in Lexington when they dropped the lake to kill off the Hydrilla. Nice Lake. Capt Jack R.. |
