My segment of this discussion has nothing to do with YOUR issues with Harry.
We've now gotten into a discussion of the inabilities of some people to
comprehend two things: The abstract nature of language, and the ways in
which language overlaps with set theory.

Doug,

I checked with the AMA, they have no female doctor with the last name

Krause
in the state of Maryland. Krause is an insecure, hate filled individual,

he
might agree with your political leaning, but he is still a hate filled
individual whose only source of enjoyment is to make up elaborate lies

that
become so convoluted that he can't keep up with all of them.

When people ask me what I do, I tell them I'm the sales manager for a

large
grocery distributor. I do not tell them I have a degree in journalism.

When
my friends were asked what they did, their answer described the jobs

they
were doing at the time, because that's what they were asked. On the

other
hand, their engineering degrees became relevant when they were job

hunting
or if a discussion went further and delved into "what did you go to

school
for?".

Well, that is why we were having problems communicating. You were
discussing overlapping set theory (which I do understand) and I was
discussing the practical aspect of someone becoming a doctor but did not
want to be considered a doctor, because she wanted to make her patients feel
more comfortable.

Either way, the AMA does not know about a female Dr. Krause in the state of
Maryland.

And if you laid off of the weed then you might have closed your above sentence
with the appropriate punctuation mark.

But being the intellectual and the educated person that you are, you knew
that already didn't you?

You really ought to lay off the bottle before you touch the keyboard.

Pothead.

I'll admit to being in an altered state of consciousness for the past couple
of days, but it's due to a lobster overdose. And the feast hasn't ended yet.
Lunch: Cold lobster in a garlic/dill remoulade.

Yeah...it is. My son wanted lobster on Sunday, and asked if he could invite
two of his pals over for some. We went and got lobster, but he forgot to
firm up the plans with his friends. So, I've been playing with leftover
lobster since then.

Is your wife a psychiatric nurse, because neither AMA has never heard of
her?

A private therapy setting is different. Usually, the psychiatrist,
working with licensed folk, provides the therapy, and the latter

usually
work with family members, and family issues. But there really are no
rules on how a practice should be run, other than the legal and

ethical
issues.

Each doctor may operate his practice differently, but I don't think

you
will
find one psychiatrist who calls himself a therapist so his patients

will
feel better about talking to them. It is funny watching you squirm

when
you
are caught at your fabrications.

Jeez....you love blanket statements, don't you? Right across the hall

from
me is a psychiatrist. He comes over for lunch sometimes, and he's gone
fishing with me. He sometimes calls himself and other psychiatrists
"therapists". It refers to whatever practitioner is doing the therapy,
whether it be a psychiatrist, a psychologist or a social worker. Psych
literature often uses "therapist" as a general term to cover all three
practitioners, because a client may end up seeing any of the three

types.
When my ex-wife and I were looking for a marriage counselor, we asked
friends for recommendations. Among the list we came up with were all

three
types of therapists.

There are several other categories of licensed practitioners who provide
therapy, and these include "mental health counselors," and "psychiatric
nurses." My wife says the latter seem to make especially good counselors.
