LOL, you are so funny. I noticed that you ignored the fact that Schnapps
can be very expensive, but most importantly in your ignorance you did not know Schnapps is made from Potatoes, not grain. Keep up the consistent work, very few people can be wrong about everything they post. I would recommend you use a dictionary, you can't just own one, you have to open it occasionally. Yes it IS made from grain alcohol, or WHISKEY. What is confusing you is your desire to sound like you know what you're talking about, when in fact you don't. Get a dictionary. |

You forgot to look up the definition of schnapps. No, I didn't. Please see below. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask. No question is too stupid! From this site: http://www.physics.uq.edu.au/people/...iskeymore.html What is whiskey? Whiskey is a barrel-aged distilled spirit made from grain or malt. It differs from other types of grain alcohol in that it absorbs colour and flavour from the barrels during aging, it retains more flavour from the fermented mash by being distilled at a lower proof and being less thoroughly filtered. As a result, it is much more flavoursome than vodka. Unlike gin and akvavit, it doesn't have other flavourings added. And from this website: http://www.webtender.com/db/ingred/125 Schnapps -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Generic name for a flavorful alcoholic beverage made from grain or potato spirits, and flavored with various herbs or fruits. Schnapps can range from sweet, like a liqueur, to dry as an infused vodka. Denmark and Germany produce the majority of schnapps |

Second, Schnapps IS made from grain alcohol, or....whiskey. So what? That does not mean it is whiskey. Apple pie is made with flour. Is apple pie therefore flour? No, but it would mean that when you were eating apple pie, that you would, in fact be eating flour. If you were drinking Schnapps, you'd be drinking whiskey. |

Basskisser,
Do you know how to read? The very first sentence in your definition is: "Whiskey is a barrel-aged distilled spirit made from grain or malt." Schnapps is not barrel-aged, and by your own definition is not a Whiskey. We will ignore the fact that the vast majority of Schnapps is made from potatoes. While you can use grain alcohol instead, it still does not qualify as a whiskey, because it is not barrel aged. Keep up the good work, your record is still intact, wrong again. PS It does seem like you learn a lot from Harry, I see you even copy his technique of using sock puppets and having conversations with yourself. "basskisser" wrote in message om... Anyone who makes up poorly disguised alias to convince people he owns a Lobster Boat", obviously does not own one. This from an asswipe whose handle is the fake name every guy uses when checking into a cheap motel with someone else's wife? Wow. Now that was interesting. It's funny, the time I ran into Harry in the marina, and raved about his new Parker, he never once mentioned owning another boat in the area. Strange. What does Harry look like? Just out of curiousity? Is there any public figure that he looks like on TV or ??? John H On the 'Poco Loco' out of Deale, MD on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay! |
