It didn't initially occur to me he could have been refering to the Jesse Jackson reference in what most would consider the Mike Tyson thread. |

It severely limits their acceptance by mainstream society, and the opportunities available to them. You, the ACLU, and the NAACP do them no favors by coddling and accepting their behavior, and telling Bill Cosby to shut up when he points it out. You... the PC crowd, *are* part of the problem. Like any American city, their are parts of Columbia, SC that are pockets of drug and crime activity. The Columbia Police Dept.started a "Clean Sweep" program a couple of weeks ago to try to stem the drug activity in the downtown area. The ACLU and NAACP were quick to swoop in and proclaim that blacks were being targeted by the police. They called news conferences and condemned the activities. To the local news show's credit, when they covered this, they showed one final clip at the end. It was several black women who were saying that they *welcomed* the clean sweep program in their neighborhoods! They were tired of the drugs and crime, and wanted to reclaim their neighborhood. The organizations get so caught up in pushing their agendas that they forget to listen to their constituents. Pretty much like the PC crowd... squashing any recognition of reality, just pushing their blind agendas. ---------------------- Reply when you work up a good spin... "I've been around black folk all my life, they really do fit the stereotypes, and anybody stating otherwise is just pushing a blind agenda"? No thanks. You've stated your piece, your position is clear, and those who agree or disagree with you won't be swayed by additional discussion. |
