Jeez, these new ship designs are ugly, the spawn of desk-bound naval
architects, no doubt. I suppose they're purpose designed but a big white box
on a red bathtub hardly stirs the seafarer's heart. Bet it's a bitch in a
beam sea too.

I'm surprised they don't build something that large in a dry dock. How
do they control the "slide" as it starts down those rails laid
perpendicular to the keel?

You're asking me?? Remember, I use WEBTV and boat a Bayliner. But, I
agree with some of the posters. Compared to the "Old Mac", its a
pretty ugly profile.

What is she, a buoy tender? Interesting looking boat...but she seems to
list to port...

Check out the site, it explains that it is an icebreaker that has the
equipment to service bouys..
