Yes, but there are cheaper and less expensive ones, that may not give the secondary voltage you are looking for, especially in a high compression environment. I'm just talking about an old boat motor with an old merc coil. The thought
has crossed my mind to pickup an easier to attain car coil (type with the +/- and high power wire.) attach this to the motor and see if it triggers a spark fine or not..
