I managed to get the ficht software running.

Error code is intermittent 28...which is the shift switch
was stuck *on* for some time.
It suggests that I readjust cables and check/lube switch.

I am still not convinced the switch is working
anymore on account of my studying the whole
mechanism.

I am in the north east....at least I am not missing
any good weather!
