well, I am new to this game and really don't know the rules, if there

Maybe you could spend a few minutes learning how to operate ALL the features
of your news reader. You should only be seeing ONE message from each
thread - the original post, unless you CHOOSE to expand it. So, if you can't
"not look" at things you don't want to see, whose problem is it? That's a
basic human skill.

upon this newsgroup with the intent of doing as much damage as possible.
What other reason would he have for posting 40 or 50 of these foul
messages here a day, and then cross-posting them to another newsgroup?

It's just another symptom of the "Smithers" syndrome that has plagued us
for several months: multiple anonymous posts, posters using dozens of
handles, postings using the IDs of other posters...the sort of juvenile
crap you see in the seventh grade.
