Good luck on your purchase, I must admit I have been feeling a bit of buyers remorse but once I get the sucker in the water that will all melt away. Peter what kind of boat are you looking at? A 28 foot walkaround mainly for fishing. We have narrowed it down to either the Grady White or the Pursuit. We'll base the boat in Beaufort, NC. We are on temporary hold waiting for the spring buying frenzy to slow and prices to drop. We hope to be in the water for the fall fishing season. What model Pursuit? I love those boats. Later, Tom The 2870 walkaround. So far it's a pretty close contest between that and the Grady White. A sea trial and price will be the deciding factors. -- Peter Aitken |

I have a Contender 31 Fisharound and I love it. I've taken a ride on a 2870 and was very impressed. In fact, there was some thought given to purchasing one when I sold the other Contender, but I'm kind of a brand loyalist. You can't go wrong with a Pursuit. Outboards, inboard w/jackshaft or I/O? There are always options - like purchasing a boat without power like I did with my Contender. Oh well, can't have everything. :) Later, Tom |
