Calling "moron" is a little extreme.
I do agree that a 38-pound salmon, (or even a 22-pound salmon), will do everybody more good when left in the run to spawn additional big fish than gaffed and gutted to win a derby prize..... but man is part of the natural world and one of the top predators on the food chain. Black-n-Gold may have different values than you, but keeping a fish now and then doesn't make somebody a moron. Personally, I enjoy a bit of tasty salmon now and then and I have *no* illusions about how that filet gets from the ocean to my plate. :-) |
