I have most of them blocked using Outlook Express. I think that most
newsgroup software systems have a way to block individuals. I block 'em and
I probably only see 5-10% of the junk that passes through here. As they
change names or new OT'rs show up, I block them, too.

Actually, at least until the election is over, I just used Outlook Express
header message rules to filter headers. I didn't block any senders - just
text in the subject lines.

I blocked: OT, OT:, Bush, Kerry, Harry, Harry's, Dems, GOP, and moderator.

This got rid of 98% of the crap and I had to block no one - not even Harry.

This is much better than blocking individuals, as when someone posts on
topic, it gets through.
