Default Outta here ...

rec.boats has got to have the most off-topic posts that I've ever seen in a
newsgroup. I'm outta here ...unsubscribing. The OT people have made it not
worth the time to peruse the headers trying to find something useful or
interesting in all the 'noise', not to mention those that resemble a place
where the sun don't shine more than they resemble fellow human beings.
That's for both sides of the fences (there's a few).

So, you let the OT trolls win, simply because you can't operate a newsgroup
filter? Filter the BS out- it works pretty well.

Brian, this isn't a knock on you but I have been wondering something.
Perhaps you could help me (if you are still here that is).

If you have decided that this group is no longer enjoyable, why
announce you are leaving and no longer reading the group?
I mean, why not just quit reading it instead of announcing that you
are quitting?
I was just wondering.

Sorta kinda reminds me of those who find it necessary to announce who
they filter.

....and then post page after page of the messages they've 'filtered'?

He's just being that little boy on the playground who refuses to play and makes
a big deal out of it thinking he's punishing everybody because they won't play
by his rules.

Sorry to see you go Brian. I wish you would try a kill file and filters...it
makes for nice reading once done.
