Chuck, you really are a piece of dirt to say that. If you can't figure

There we go again...how many times have you called people a**hole this
week? Where's that soap Doug is peddling. We may need the whole
truckload.

Grow up Don!

And tell your sweetie JimH that a badass jarhead doesn't need a boatless
wonder to hold his hand!

You haven't got a clue have you?

Congrats John, enjoy.

Thanks, Karen. I will!

Congrats to you too, Karen. Really. :-)

It must be a contagious disease. Is Rush Limbaugh sending mind-altering
frequencies to all his listeners or something? First JimH interprets
something I explicitedly said about myself as a "personal attack", then
Bert said I am a "piece of dirt" for congratulating Karen on posting
without her typical jab at me and multi-paragraph broadside featuring
"The Krause lie of the day." Now you're chiming in with another
accusation of "personal attack"? What's up with that?

I made a "favorable" comment, complimenting Karen for posting without
her usual schtick attached.

That's a personal attack? I guess it must be, according to some
standards. The protest about personal attacks is run out on a moment's
notice, or shelved completely it seems, depending upon who is saying
what about whom.

Ah, the old "who me?" routine.

Chuck,

It is nice to see you are not being an asshole, keep up the good work.

Now that is a nice favorable comment, no one would ever think that was a
personal attack.

So seldom is anything good or complimentary said to those characters
(for good reason) that they don't know how to handle a compliment.

Stairs?? I just came in out of the sun after doing 'pick & shovel' work
in front. We're replacing our livingroom windows and the wife decided we
should frame the opening in a 'bay/bow' fashion to gain more square
footage of useable space. Up here it's advisable to set your footinga
about 3.5 feet deep....below the frost line. I was hoping i'd hit
bedrock before I got that deep.

I hadn't read the other responses. I have no idea what Limbaugh said on the
subject. (Is there an implication there?) From your perspective, I may have
'chimed in', but from mine, I simply made a comment to your post.

To me, your comment was an attack. It was subtle, but it sure wasn't called for
in a thread congratulating me for the birth of my grandson.

I responded the way I did because I was genuinely surprised at your comment,
given how you've managed to do so well for so long.
