I admit I get much of my stuff from the following. I try to credit them
when I use their reporting.

Salon www.salon.com (I consider them moderate to Left)

Bartcop www.bartcop.com Not so much left as anti-Bush

CNN -- I consider them moderate

MSNBC -- Moderate again --

Slate Slate.com -- Most of their stuff is referencing other sources.

At least their publications identify opinion as such, and give
references where appropriate.

Drudge, Newsmax, Fox, VVagainst Kerry all are quick to publish rumors or
Quote people like Rush, Coulter, et all as gods. They have gone so far
as to manipulate photographs in an attempt to smear Kerry

I suppose you consider them "fair and Balanced"?

My first choice for president would be other than Kerry, and my vote
will be not FOR Kerry, but AGAINST Bush.

When was the last time any substantial media outlet referred to someone from
MoveOn or Salon as "left-wing extremists"?

Only four paragraphs in, and we need read no further. Joe Conason is a
left-wing shill, and no friend of objective reportage.

CNN et al are not above that at all. I have been personally involved in a
newsworthy event wherein CNN blatantly maintained a biased position. HN
would run rumors of "allegations", (at the behest of one of the parties to
the struggle) for one or two cycles of HN, then pull the piece for lack of
"confirmation". Of course, by then the damage had been done.

Quote people like Rush, Coulter, et all as gods.

Well, of course, no serious person quotes these folks as serious news
sources, nor believes any such quotes. Conservative talk shows are well
peppered with bombast, as would be talk shows of the left, if they could
ever figure how to make it work! The problem with left-wing talk shows is
that it is very difficult to project or maintain a sense of outrage while
arguing that we don't have enough government, or we don't pay enough taxes,
or we don't have a wide enough array of social programs.

It is clear that someone doctored photos, but I was unaware that any one
person or group had been confirmed as the manipulator. When did that occur?

I suppose you consider them "fair and Balanced"?

I have yet to see a news source available to the public that is fair and
balanced. Fox is right of center, but just seems to be out on the edge by
comparison with most others, who are so far left. Fox also (for some
ungodly reason) employs this hyper-excited delivery style, like TV stations
in LA or south Florida, seeming to target an emotional age of about 13 --
but that alone doesn't make them wrong. CNN and MSNBC, for example, employ
a more serious tone than Fox in news delivery, but alter their content by
careful writing and editing.

My first choice for president would be other than Kerry, and my vote
will be not FOR Kerry, but AGAINST Bush.

Voting *against* a candidate rarely yields satisfaction in either the short
or long term.

Agreed. It's a shame that so many Democrats seem to have the same
attitude. It's a bigger shame that Kerry is the best they could come
up with.

Actions will speak louder than words at voting time.

And yet last week when a Democratic Black congresswoman said to a
hispanic congressman that "you all look alike" that was swept under
the rug by your fair and balanced New York Times, BBC, NPR, et al.
Like I said before, why do folks hate bush, easy, cause they have been
duped and lied to by the likes of Harry and Terry McAulliffe... You
should all give your hdead a shake as the guy says, please tell me how
Kerry is going to "bring together a coalition" (sp?) when the three
big countries (France, Russia, Germany) are probably involved in what
is being described as "the biggest scam in world history"? These guys
were getting rich on Saddam, there was no way anyone was going to
convince them to help us oust him, and anyone who is being honest will
admit that. Hey, did you guys hear about the "oil for food" scam or
did your sources for information neglect to mention that little detail
of world news along with the congresswomans comments? If you did not
hear about these issues, you are not paying attention and should
really consider widening your exposure to new sources of news...

With a campaign of distortion and lies, the right-wing smear machine is
trying to impugn the military honor of John Kerry.

The words Honor and Kerry do not belong in the same sentence. He's a
hypocritical lying scumbag.

But...but...but everyone on Saturday Night Live supports him!
