I don't understand what your question is. there is no reason that they shouldn't work like on any other boat, but I wouldn't recommend a thru-hull fitting! One issue that you might have is power. Most small inflatable don't have any sort of electrical system, so unless yours has one then any equipment that you use on it will have to be either powered from internal batteries or you will have to add some sort of battery and electrical system. There is a fishfinder that is specifically made for this type of thing. Brand name is "Bottom Line", model "Fishin Buddy 1200". It has a clamp for fastening to the transom and is powered by C batteries. Rod |

Be careful with the fishhooks after the fishfinder finds the fish. ;-)
I have several buddies who use a motorcycle battery or gel cel in a small Pelican case to power a fishfinder and GPS. They don't pull much power (1/2 amp?) Also, even if your motor is pull start, it may have a small alternator for running electronics. -- Chuck Tribolet http://www.almaden.ibm.com/cs/people/triblet Silicon Valley: STILL the best day job in the world. Regards Ian I run an old Eagle Ultra from 2 6v lantern batteries when I go canoeing. They last at least several days. (never had them quit) |
