Beside them were French President Jacques Chirac and his wife, Bernadette. The two presidents shook hands. When Bush's face appeared on giant screen TVs showing the ceremony, many in the crowds outside St. Peter's Square booed and whistled. So? That proves absolutely nothing other than some folks there liked him and some did not. And many probably remained silent as this was not the proper time to express ones likes or dislikes for the man.....it was, after all, the funeral for the Pope, not a poltical rally. |
