Default Collinite Boat Products

From the owner:

Hi, I'm David Richardson. I started this web site because I am an enthusiast
that liked the products you see here so much that I thought I would offer
them to others at great prices. This is not my main source of income (thank
goodness, otherwise I would be starving!) and I consider it a hobby and as
such I am able to offer you a small selection of only HIGH QUALITY and
personally TESTED products at discounted prices. I use everything I sell and
don't sell items I feel are inferior just to make a buck. It's just my wife
and I operating it, so I am able to keep costs WAY down. I go out of town a
couple of times a month for the day job, but generally work out of the home
most days. As such, I answer emails and try my best to get your items
shipped within 24 hours. Feel free to email me about any questions you may
have!

Collinite #885 Paste Fleetwax - The longest lasting wax we carry! For
Marine & Aeronautical Finishes. Developed especially to seal and shield
against acid rain, sun, salt spray, bugs and other environmental acids.
Easily applied and non-abrasive, wax will prevent finish deterioration and
the adhesion of foreign elements. Clear coat safe. Wax Applicators are under
Accessories

Collinite #845 Insulator Wax - This heavy duty liquid wax was originally
developed for use by electric power companies for protection against high
voltage power failure, fires and explosions. It's primary use is on the
finishes of automobiles, trucks, buses, boats, personal water craft, and
airplanes where durability, high gloss and lasting protection are paramount.
An excellent choice for fleet applications and very easy to use--requires
minimum rubbing or buffing. Clear coat safe. Also known as #925 Fiberglass
Boat Wax which is described as follows: Goes on easy and stays on all season
for a wipe and shine deck, glistening topsides, and a super slippery bottom.
Contains a special pure Carnauba wax formula proven in harsh industrial
environments. It will easily shrug off scrubbing, scuffing, detergents, salt
water and marine organisms. Recommended by StrataglassT. Wax Applicators are
under Accessories

Collinite #920 Fiberglass Boat Cleaner- Excellent Cleaner! Easily removes
dirt, film, oxidation, oil, grease, rust and exhaust stains from fiberglass
finishes. Restores the original color quickly without hard rubbing or
buffing. Leaves a chemically clean surface to which Collinite waxes can bond
perfectly. Increases long-lasting brilliance and performance of protective
wax coating. This product is NOT clear coat safe and NOT recommend for use
on automobiles with a clear coat finish. I personally find it great for
removing exhaust stains on my Jet Ski, dried algae growth, and scuffs. One
customer has stated it easily removed squid stains from his charter boat!
This is not intended to be used for heavy chalky oxidation correction. The
paint is far too damaged for a cleaner. A compound will be required for
that, but always use the least abrasive product first. Applicators are under
Accessories

JimH,
Do you prefer the natural waxes, such as Carnauba wax, or the newer
polishes, such as Zaino Brothers ?

I never used the product. I stuck with a good old polish and wax job.
Intense and time consuming but well worth it IMO.

3M Finesse-It II fiberglass polish followed by 2 coats of the Collinite
Fleet paste wax.

I have never used Zaino, but I know it is very popular with car show
enthusiast, due to it's brilliant shine. Years ago, I email Zaino and they
told me it did protect the cars finish.

I have always stayed with Carnuba Wax on my boat and car. I also use one of
those detailers clay bar for deep cleaning to remove all pollution that
etches into the paint. It is amazing how much crap that clay bar will
remove after you have washed the car or boat.
