Default Geico Boat Insurance Company

Your Boat Coverage Explained

Out on your boat, you leave your cares behind. You don't want to worry about
what would happen if your boat was involved in an accident. Boat insurance
protects you against accidents, vandalism, and insures you against
liability. That means smooth sailing!

What does boat insurance cover? Insurance needs differ depending on the type
of boat or watercraft you own. Your policy will explain in detail what is
covered and what is specifically excluded. But these coverages generally
apply:

Protection From Physical Damage, Perils, and Liability

Most policies cover physical damage to the hull, sails, machinery,
furniture, and most other equipment that is normally used on board. Most
perils are covered including vandalism, malicious mischief, and even damage
that results from latent defects of workmanship.

You are also insured against liability losses. You are covered for damage to
another boat or dock, and for bodily injury or death to another person as a
result of your negligent operation or ownership of the boat.

In the event that you, your guests or family are injured while on board, the
policy provides payment for incidental medical expenses. The coverage also
applies if someone is injured boarding or getting off your boat.

Under most policies, the boat trailer is covered against physical loss or
damage from any external cause.

The policy coverage provides compensation liability for injury to persons
employed by you who may work on your boat, but are not crew members.
Mechanics, carpenters, painters, and cleaners are included in this category.
To be covered under this policy, they cannot be employed by your boatyard,
and the federal Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act must apply to
them.

You may purchase optional coverages as well, such as protection against
damage caused by an uninsured boater, coverage for your personal property,
and coverage for your fishing equipment.

Please Note:
These are general policy descriptions to help you understand the different
types of coverages. They do not refer to any specific contract of insurance,
and they do not modify any definitions expressly stated in any contracts of
insurance. We encourage you to speak to your insurance representative and to
read your policy contract to fully understand your coverages.

Stanley, I missed your similar comments in the threads on Wheeler Yachts,
Mainship Trawler and Legend 680 Pilothouse. Could you direct me to them?

Thank you Stanley.

Why are you posting all this crap? If it's some sort of joke, I don't get
it.

I have my insurance at Boat/US. The prices are very competitive, it
includes protection from liability from oil spills and tow insurance.

On the other hand, I have my Car and Home insurance with Geico and love
them.

Looks like I've got somebody in a real dither!

How funny, and yet how truly sad.

Watch your blood pressure- don't blow a circuit on us. :-)

If you find it funny causing another's blood pressure to rise then you are
indeed sadistic.

But sorry to burst your bubble Chuck....the blood pressure is A-OK. Just
having some fun with you by showing the hypocrisy.

Keep on spamming Chuck. I proved my point.

Have a nice evening.

*************

I think JohnH put it rather succinctly, yesterday. He commented that
you had "expressed your point, but not proved it."

Of all the comments made so far, several people appreciate my personal
observations and pass-throughs of legitimate industry news while you
and one other person have espressed displeasure. Knowing full well that
the only thing I could do to please either you or your close ally in
this matter would be to die, (preferably slowly and horribly), I really
don't give a rat's anus what you think.

Lack of giving a rat's anus doesn't stop me from being amused that you
take the whole thing so far out of perspective that you have wasted
much of a day with your campaign.

Enough coffee break. Back to work for me. Thanks for the amusing
interlude, really.
