Sorry, dude, but the daytime news reader/poster service I sometimes use gets news posts on its own schedule. I had no idea *you* would be the first right-wing puke to try to dispute the aphorisms. Bull****! Oh? Sorry, John, but my sometime daytime news group gatherer has a mind of its own. Sometimes posts appear a day later than elsewhere. Sometimes just hours later. I have no idea why. If you think otherwise, prove it. Maybe the army runs the newsreader... Email sent to is never read. |

John Stuart Mill Obviously, Mr. Mill didn't spend much time in *this* newsgroup! Give him a fish and you feed a man for a day, teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime... (A conservative) It is this, I think, that partially differentiates Liberals and Conservatives. To you, handouts are the way to be unselfish. To me, teaching a trade is the way to be unselfish. How do you define 'selfish'? Harry Krause, in an earlier post, said that conservatives thought selfishness was the greatest good (or words to that effect). To me, true selfishness is doing whatever is in one's short and long term best interests. This holds for nations also. Given this definition, selfishness *is* the greatest good. Chew on it. John H On the 'Poco Loco' out of Deale, MD on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay! The standard definition of selfish: Devoted to or concerned with one's own advantage or welfare to the exclusion of regard for others. In other words, Republicans. BTW, you are quoting Ayn Rand there...at least her philosophy. Ann of the Turgid Prose, as we called her in high school. Then Ms Rand must have her head screwed on straight. This is not the first time krause has gotten caught in a lie based upon time/date stamps. But his excuse is always the same: 'It was the software.' If memory serves me correctly another time he stated that his computer(s) held his posts for awhile and then dumped them into usenet at a later time. These posts showed up in my newsreader also exactly as described and I came to the same conclusion; krause formulated his post after seeing the reply. Typical attempt at deceit. There's really no reason why anyone should believe a word krause says without some tangible collaborating evidence, and not any evidence proffered by a sycophant of his. As the TV Judge Marilyn Milian says, "I wouldn't believe a word you said even if your tongue came notarized." -- Charlie ----== Posted via Newsfeed.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeed.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 100,000 Newsgroups ---= 19 East/West-Coast Specialized Servers - Total Privacy via Encryption =--- |

Well, John, since you have no idea or knowledge over the rather peculiar news "gatherer" I use some days, your opinion is...worthless. The service I use provides limited access to usenet through its servers. It does not get its "feeds" automatically at frequent intervals. I've asked the service about it once or twice, but the place is run by geeks and they've never offered an explanation that I understand. So, I don't worry about it. But since your entire world is binary, black or white, I suppose you are blind to the grey. That's what happens when you waste your life in the military. -- Email sent to is never read. |
