No depth, no shadows.


The further away a subject is, the less depth of field there is.


I realize that. But the boat is not that far away yet there are no shadows
(depth) on it or cast onto the surrounding landscape by it.

It was an initial reaction. I was wrong. I explained my reasoning. Time
to move on.


Think about it for a minute and you will answer your own question.

There is a reason is looks flat.
