At least white stuffs his in
his basement and has an outside agency come once per month if they are the
winning bidder and teamsters to bath her.

snip usual garbage...

She has her own wing...we call it the 'North West Wing of the 'White
House'....get it??
This includes her own full bathroom, cable tv, heat control, and bright
windows on three sides etc.
The Red Cross Homecare people come in twice a week to bath her. They were
recommended by the hospital people after she recovered from the stroke she
suffered two years ago.

That came under the heading of "**** happens in war", Don. Apologies are

not
required.

(I assume you know a cynical remark when you see it).

Yes....trouble is, there's a sizeable group of characters in here who
really
do believe that psychology.

I doubt there is anyone here who is happy about the Canadians getting
killed. It
was a damn shame. I'm sorry it happened, for both the Canadians and the
pilots.

Well, I imagine there is at least one or two here who *were* happy with
the
news. It gave them more ammunition in their 'hate the military' campaign.

How do you know they never apologized? Do you mean to say they never
'publicly'
apologized?

I wonder if that drunk Canadian boater from Leamington ever apologized to
the families of the Americans he killed in a boating accident on the US side
of Lake Erie a few years back?

The US militart has declared itself 'above the law'. The pilot who
disobeyed orders and attacked a Canadian unit, killing four with his
bombs,
lost a months pay. He has never apologized.

Didn't you guys seize a sovereign ship not too long ago?

Did they apologize for doing so?

I'm amazed you haven't filtered out Tuuk, Don. If you do, you'll only
see a couple of his posts, and on a second-hand basis.

Of course, you might enjoy reading the posts of our Thai psychopath. :]

** I always remembered that saying..'keep your friends close, but your
enemies closer".**

My mom died when she was in her early 80's, more than a decade ago,
fortunately before she suffered any long debilitating illnesses. She was
still driving her car around two weeks before she took ill and died.
Unless she changed her driving habits in her old age, she must have been
the terror of the Palm Beaches, because she had a lead foot. The sight
of an 80-year-old grandma roaring down those streets...whew! When I
visited her, I insisted on driving.

That's a good life...was it Jan & Dean who sang 'Little Old Lady from
Pasedina'?
Neither mom nor dad had a drivers license their entire lives, and since mon
turns 91 this fall, I doubt she ever will. :-)

The parents of one of their victims said so this month in the local paper.
Do you think it's the fault of the surviving parents...maybe not listening
hard enough?

Are you referring to the contracted transport ship that had half our tanks,
Coyotes, military vehicles, field pieces and threatened to hold them for
ransom if we didn't ante up with more loonies...?/
Then...hell yes!

Which indicates they didn't apologize to the parents. They may well have
apologized to the Canadian unit commander or other mates of the individuals.

"War is not healthy for children and other living things."

It's hypocritical to expect any armed force to behave in any manner
that doesn't reflect the entire spectrum of personalities comprising
the force itself.

An unbalanced, homocidal, whack job who finds his or her way into the
armed forces (and the vast majority of servicepeople cannot be so
described) then becomes an unbalanced, homocidal, whack job with a gun,
or a bomb, or a tank, or prison guard's uniform.

The jerks killing off prisoners do not represent the military in
general any more than the super-heroes who earn the Medal of Honor,
etc. Most everybody is going to be somewhere between the two extremes,
just like in "real life".

Don, would it make a damn bit of difference to you? If they'd made a public
apology, you'd be down on them 'cause it wasn't soon enough, or heartfelt
enough, or not enough tears, or some damn thing.

Do you really think they shot up a bunch of Canadians on purpose?
