I have a 3.0 liter Mercruiser with Alpha One outdrive. The power steering
pump is leaking like a sieve. Can it be repaired (its the seals) or can I replace it with an automotive type? A genuine Mercruiser Marine pump is around $400.00 whereas an automotive version is $59.00 @ AutoZone. I understand why you cannot use automotive parts on a Marine engine but this item does not appear to suffer from the same consequences. Opinions please. |
