Dave worked for Boeing, in Wichita.

When I last saw him here in Seattle, several years ago now, he was
talking about retiring and moving to Puget Sound country. His wife had
family up this way.

Many will remember that he took quite a beating, (probably well
deserved) from all sides, just prior to disappearing into the ethernet.
He went out with some small amount of class, however. No long good-byes
or last minute diatribes- he just disappeared.

Instead of checking the phone directory, maybe somebody should check
the obits. Sad thought, but possible.

Yes, unfortunately. He was having health issues with his knees as I
recall just prior to disappearing. I was under the impression that
you kept in touch.

He was a disagreeable old coot in many ways but obviously loved boats
and boating which gave him something in common with most of us. If he
has succumbed to health issues, it is too bad he never realized his
dream of doing some serious cruising. It would have been interesting
to see how that changed his perspective on some issues.
